What’s More Important: Your Credit Score or Report Data?

A good credit history gives you a good credit score which means you should have easy to access to credit, doesn’t it?

In a way, yes, but you may be surprised at how much of a role your credit ‘score’ actually plans when it comes to gaining access to credit.

Although your credit score does play a part in your ability to borrow, lenders will look at your credit file as a whole rather than just simply at your ‘score’ to assess all the data available and get a better picture of your situation.

A credit score is simply a summary of the information in your credit file. Therefore, from your point of view, it makes sense to look at your file as an overall in the same way a lender would.
